Safe Play at HPA

Here at High Performance Academy, we continue to use the utmost of caution when it comes to the health and safety of everyone on our facilities. We have been following guidelines recommended by the CDC, and Local Officials. Please see below for our practices that will be in place during this time.

In addition to below protocols, during this time, we are making sure to limit the number of players as well as the number of people who attend our programming to ensure we maintain proper social distancing guidelines.

As a condition of returning to play, during registration process all inquiries are to indicate that the parent or guardian is an owner, an employee, a volunteer, or works for a company that contracts to provide services or materials to an Essential Business, an Essential Governmental Function, an Outdoor Business, or is involved in the Minimum Basic Operations of any business or organization.

  • All commonly used surfaces will be disinfected regularly including major touch points, door handles , etc.
  • Facilities and common areas will be rearranged to help facilitate proper social distancing, which will be enforced and monitored regularly.
  • Touchless dispensers containing hand sanitizer with an alcohol content of 60% or greater have been placed in highly trafficked areas around the facility.
  • Signage regarding proper handwashing hygiene have already been placed around campus as a reminder for campers and staff.
  • Employees are going through a health screening upon entering campus each day; those who have flu-like symptoms, will be asked to remain off facilities.
  • Access to facility is limited to required individuals, and many employees are still working remotely, helping to limit the amount of people we have on campus at any given time.
  • Employees have been asked to wear face coverings while inside buildings and continue social distancing practices until otherwise directed by our local governing body and CDC.
  • Any employee who has flu-like symptoms or comes in close contact with someone who has flu like symptoms is required to tell their instructor and will be asked to stay off facilities for a minimum of 14 days.
  • Employees are required to wash their hands between training sessions and will be provided with hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes at each training space.
  • Habitual hand washing and sanitizing advisories and guidelines that we put in place in March 2020 will be heralded by employees before and after practice, and during any other group activities as applicable.
  • All players are required to wipe down equipment after use. Staff will also be wiping down equipment throughout the day.
  • Players are required to bring and wear cloth face coverings/masks to use while inside locations with other players. Players will be encouraged to wear during play. Coverings can be provided upon request.
  • Hand washing and sanitizing will be encouraged throughout the day by staff, instructors and coaches.
  • If you are returning to facilities early, your instructor and coaches will have specific protocols for you to follow.
  • Due to limited capacity, we ask to attend sessions alone to limit the number of people inside the building. Parents may watch from outside depending on capacity. We ask for one parent per child. 
  • There will be a 15-minute period before sessions to account for sanitization between sessions and to limit the number of people in the facility at any given time.

In the event HPA is notified that a staff/coach/instructor or athlete tests positive for COVID-19, the groups that involve that coach/athlete will be notified.

All staff and any qualified spectator will be required to wear a mask or face covering inside the facility. We highly encourage all of our members to wear a face covering or mask during their session.

In case an order is given by the State and Local City Officials to shelter in place, HPA will contact all members of our two step process to cancel or hold. Please be aware that no refunds will be issued and any remaining sessions/classes remaining will be issued in account credit for when we are able to return to play again. 

All Little Star members will be able to make up a limited amount of classes missed due to the COVID-19 outbreak. We will be extending the make up policy to the end of the calendar year December 31, 2020, until further notice.

All league members will be playing all matches missed due to the COVID-19 closure. Our leagues will be extended. We will be contacting our league members and giving them a minimum 7-day notice prior to league continuation. Due to all of our leagues having been initiated, no refunds will be issued.
